As we reflect on the extraordinary success of our recent Camaraderie Gala 2025, we are filled with immense gratitude for the support and generosity of our entire community. Thanks to you and others like you, this event not only celebrated our mission but also marked a historic moment for A New Leaf.
This year’s event raised an unprecedented $1,117,603, marking the organization’s first $1 million fundraising event and underscoring the community’s steadfast commitment to supporting families in need across Arizona.
The gala brought together 540 attendees, including notable figures such as NBA legend Tom Chambers and business leader Mark Schnepf, to celebrate and support A New Leaf’s mission of “Helping Families, Changing Lives.” The evening’s theme, “The Jazz Lounge,” transformed the venue into an elegant black-tie club experience, featuring lively jazz performances and classic French Quarter-inspired cuisine.

Legacy Award Presentation
Todd Skinner was honored with A New Leaf’s Legacy Award.
After a recent brain cancer diagnosis, Todd has chosen to lead several fundraising efforts for A New Leaf to solidify his work on behalf of the organization, exemplifying his remarkable resilience and dedication.
Todd is a partner at Skinner Clouse Group, a public accounting firm located in Tempe, Arizona.
Todd’s true passion is giving back to the local community. He is a co-founder of Lucky Sevan Foundation which focuses on impacting and shaping youth by providing them with tools to effectively navigate through life’s challenges. Todd is also a long-time board member at A New Leaf, with a rich history tied to shaping the future of our La Mesita Apartment Community.
“I’m very passionate about A New Leaf. They are a wonderful group of people and their mission is vital to helping disadvantaged people”, says Todd.

Community Impact Award Presentation
We were proud to present Spinato’s Pizzeria with the Community Impact Award at our 2025 Camaraderie Gala.
Spinato’s is heavily involved in the community, and has be generous with A New Leaf by contributing cash donations, in-kind contributions, and volunteers to help local families experiencing homelessness. They’ve even held pasta-making classes for residents of our La Mesita Apartments!

East Valley Men’s Center Impact Story
A New Leaf’s East Valley Men’s Center is a safe haven for men facing homelessness in Arizona as they re-integrate into the community. When men arrive at the facility, they are immediately provided with a bed and storage area for their personal possessions that they are able to keep for the entire duration of their stay.
Once the men have settled, our dedicated staff gets to work, helping residents plan a permanent housing plan. An onsite workforce also helps the residents build a resume, find references, and secure job interviews. A New Leaf strongly believes in offering a hand up to men willing to put in the effort to improve their lives.
Through comfortable and stable living, comprehensive services, and compassionate attention to the challenges each man faces, A New Leaf helps men experiencing homelessness find their feet and become contributing members of the community once again.
