2025 Impact Report

To our community,

Strong communities don’t happen by accident. They’re built when people step up for one another, especially during moments of crisis. Because of your generosity, individuals and families across our community were able to find safety, regain stability, and begin moving toward independence in 2025. Your support reached people facing homelessness, survivors seeking safety, and individuals working to rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.

This year, 18,825 lives were changed because you chose to care. Whether your support came through a financial gift, volunteering your time, or donating much-needed items, your involvement mattered. It meant that when someone had nowhere else to turn, A New Leaf was there, ready to respond with compassion, practical help, and respect for each person’s journey.

Domestic violence impacts women, men and children across Arizona every day, often behind closed doors and in ways others never see. It can affect our neighbors, coworkers, friends, and family members, leaving survivors to navigate fear, uncertainty, and isolation.

A New Leaf is committed to making sure survivors have a safe, supportive place to turn when they are ready. We work to help survivors find immediate safety, begin the process of healing, and take steps toward independence. Your donations provide critical, life-saving resources like emergency shelter and court advocacy, making it possible for survivors like Lisa to leave an abusive situation and start moving forward.

If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence of any kind, help is available. Our dedicated staff are ready to support every survivor in taking their next step toward safety and stability.

Providing shelter in moments of crisis, promoting housing stability, and supporting fresh starts

“If you want to make a change, this is the place to do it. They feed us, support us, and give us time to focus on what really matters, which is getting back on your feet.” – Jacob

nights of shelter for those in need

Across the Valley, the cost of rent, groceries, and everyday necessities continues to stretch household budgets thin. For many individuals and families, it doesn’t take much, a reduced work schedule, an unexpected expense, or one missed paycheck, to put housing at risk and create a crisis.

At A New Leaf, we believe everyone deserves a safe place to live. That’s why we focus on both preventing homelessness and helping people regain stability after a housing loss. Because every situation is different, we provide a range of supports across our community, from shelter and basic needs to housing navigation and stability services.

Your generosity makes these resources possible. Thanks to you, Jacob was able to connect with support that helped him move toward stable housing and employment. Through your partnership, we can meet people with practical help and real hope, so no one has to face homelessness alone.

Building financial stability looks different for every household, but the goal is the same: a steady foundation that helps families move out of crisis and into a more secure future. For many of the people we serve, one unexpected bill or short paycheck can ripple into bigger challenges, especially when there isn’t enough food on the table.

Because of you, A New Leaf can meet families with practical support that fits their situation. Your generosity helps provide resources that strengthen day-to-day stability, like guidance, connections to essential assistance, and support that helps families stay afloat while they work toward longer-term goals.

Thanks to you, Jonathan was able to access nutritional assistance and feed his family when they needed it most. That kind of support brings immediate relief, and it gives parents the breathing room to focus on what comes next. Your partnership helps families move forward with dignity, one step at a time.

Strong families and safe homes are essential for children to grow, thrive, and feel secure. When stress or crisis weakens family connections, A New Leaf’s Family Support Services step in with guidance and resources to help restore stability and strengthen relationships. These supports are designed to help families navigate difficult moments and move toward healthier, more stable lives.

Your support also makes it possible for children who cannot safely remain in their homes to be welcomed into loving, prepared families. A New Leaf’s foster care program recruits, trains, and equips adults with the licensing, confidence, and ongoing support needed to care for children in foster care, creating safe, nurturing homes where they are seen, comforted, and encouraged.

Because of donors like you, Anna and Thomas were able to open their home to children in foster care and receive the guidance that helped them care for each child with compassion and confidence. Your generosity strengthens families and brightens futures, ensuring children have the support they need to feel safe and parents have the resources they need to succeed.
